Recently found your blog and am having fun looking around! I'm still arguing with God about homeschooling, but am obviously very involved with our children's education still. Our 3rd grade daughter does NOT enjoy reading, so thank you for posting this list as I am always looking for good books to try and get her interested. I'd love to hear about any tips that you might have in working with a resistant reader!
Thanks,
Nicki

What a awesome list of books
Thank you Anna for your recommendations! I have been trying to find books for my daughter who is about your age! I have enjoyed a few of these books myself! I especially love Gone Away Lake! I am now reading Thimble Summer! GREAT JOB on reading so many books this summer!!!
Great list! Love #15--was one of my absolute favorites as a kid. Also #48--my teacher read that to us in 3rd grade. Some of these I would like to read with my oldest daughter.
I still reread Cheaper by the Dozen sometimes. There's a sequel called Belles on Their Toes but she might not be ready for it yet.
